Preparing Your Items

  • *All clothing must be on hangers. Wire hangers are preferred but not mandatory — make sure the item will not fall off.
  • *Hang all clothing with hanger hook pointing left. (Metal hangers preferred.)
  • *When hanging two-piece outfits, hang shirt first then attach pants with safety pins to back facing outward. This allows viewing of both pieces without raising the shirt.
  • *When hanging pants, do not fold over hanger bar. Instead pin to top of hanger. Pants folded over do not sell as well.
  • *All items need to be clean and free of stains, rips, tears, or missing buttons.
  • *Zip-tie shoes together and attach consignor card to zip-tie, or place shoes in a zip-lock bag large enough to close and attach consignor card to bag with packing tape.
  • *Zip-lock bag all small items and use packing tape to close the top and attach the 3x5 index card to it. Remember children are curious and will try to open packages. Packing tape across the top will deter opening and pieces being lost.
  • *Toys with small pieces — zip-lock the small pieces and use packing tape to attach it to the larger part. Attach consignor card to larger toy part with packing tape.
  • *All battery-powered items sell best if they have working batteries. Don't forget the chargers.

Tag Your Items

  • *All items must be tagged with a 3x5 index card. Consignor # in top left corner, barcode placed below the description in the center, size in top right corner.
  • *Use size labels: newborn, 6mo, 9mo, 12mo, 18mo, 24mo, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5, 6, 7… Do not use S, M, L for children's clothes. Add "B" for boy or "G" for girl next to size.
  • *Write the item description in the center of the card — this helps prevent theft by card switching.
  • *Price in whole dollar amounts: $3.00, $4.00, $5.00, etc. Typically 1/3 of retail. Please do not price anything less than $2.00.
  • *Attach tag with a 1" or larger safety pin (placed vertically) to the top right of garment. Do NOT use straight pins or small gold pins.
  • *Use an ink pen to make tags. Do NOT make corrections — items with corrected tags will not be sold. This is to protect consignors.

⭐ Pro Tips for Consignors

  • Don't get overwhelmed — you only need 20 items to get started. Focus on bigger items first (baby gear, furniture, large toys).
  • Price to sell! Items priced at 1/3 of retail move fast. A $3 shirt is better than a $5 shirt that comes home with you.
  • Bring your 200 BEST clothing items — quality over quantity wins every time.
  • Attach tags securely with a tagging gun or safety pin. Loose tags = lost sales.
  • Volunteer for sort back to earn Gold status and shop before the public on pre-sale night.
  • Drop off early in the drop-off window — you'll have more time to arrange your items on the floor.
  • Pick up your unsold items on Saturday between 2–5pm or they will be donated to charity.
